Decker joined the Pacific coaching staff in the fall of 2017 after putting together an impressive playing resume that continues on as she plays with the national team of the Philippines.
A starter on the Philippines National Team, Decker played in the World Cup of Softball and the Canada Cup in 2017. Prior to her time with the Philippines National Team, Decker spent her collegiate career with the University of Nebraska and the University of Oregon.
Decker opened her collegiate career at Nebraska during the 2013 season, where she started in the Women’s College World Series at second base. A team captain as a sophomore, Decker worked with the Nebraska Sports Psychologist to search for ways to boost team morale and focus on team goals. Decker set a Nebraska single-season record in doubles and was a First Team All-Big Ten and All-Region honoree with the Cornhuskers.
After transferring to Oregon as a junior, Decker was a starter on the Ducks’ 2015 Women’s College World Series side. Decker was a two-time Pac-12 Player of the Week and was a First Team All-Region honoree at Oregon.
Decker began to develop her coaching skills and experience working with softball camps as a student-athlete at Nebraska and Oregon, and most recently as an assistant coach at Corban University. On staff with Corban, Decker was an infield and hitting coach for the Warriors’ side that won the Cascade Collegiate Conference and wrapped the season as the NAIA World Series runner-up.
In addition to her time at Corban, Decker has served as a Research and Development Intern at DeMarini.
Decker graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in June of 2017. read more...
